The blog and newsletter
How often does the blog publish?
Every other week. Posts are published to the Substack newsletter first and cross-posted to the WordPress blog the same day.
How do I subscribe to the newsletter?
Free. No credit card, no account. Enter your email at the bottom of any page on this site or go directly to marcusclark.substack.com. You can unsubscribe at any time from any email.
Are the health claims in blog posts backed by research?
Yes. Every post that makes a specific health claim cites peer-reviewed sources. If a finding is preliminary, contested, or limited in scope, that is stated in the post. The goal is to translate research accurately, not to sensationalize it. Posts are for informational purposes only and do not constitute medical advice.

Sharing a link is always welcome. Reproducing full post text without permission is not. If you want to republish content, reach out at marcus@evolutionofwellness.com with details on where and how it would be used.
Professional services
What professional services does Marcus offer?
Five services: health and wellness writing, health content review, supplement and ingredient research briefs, health program evaluation, and written movement and wellness assessments. All are delivered over email with no calls or meetings required. Full details and intake forms are at evolutionofwellness.com/services.
How do I hire Marcus for a project?
Submit an intake form on the services page for the service you need. Marcus reviews every inquiry personally and responds within two business days to confirm scope, timeline, and rate. No calls needed before work begins.
What happens after I submit an inquiry?
I review every inquiry within two business days and confirm the scope by email. Once confirmed, you will receive a Stripe invoice and a Client Services Agreement to sign through DocuSign. Work begins once both are received. For the Written Movement and Wellness Assessment, a short additional liability waiver is included in the same signing step. Every service includes one round of revisions at no additional charge.
Are samples of the work available?
Yes. Illustrative samples for all five services are available at evolutionofwellness.com/services/samples. These use fictional clients and data to demonstrate format and approach. Real client work is available on request under NDA.
Do clients sign an agreement before work begins?
Yes. Before beginning any engagement you will be asked to sign our Client Services Agreement, which covers confidentiality, ownership of your deliverable, AI tool usage, payment terms, and the terms of our work together. For the Written Movement and Wellness Assessment specifically, a short additional liability waiver is also required. If your project requires a more specific NDA beyond the Client Services Agreement, mention it when submitting your intake form. Client details are treated as confidential by default regardless of whether a formal agreement is in place.
Do you use AI tools during service delivery?
Yes. AI-assisted tools including large language model tools such as Claude by Anthropic are used to support research, drafting, and editing during service delivery. Client materials may be processed through these tools as part of the work. All AI-assisted output is personally reviewed, verified, edited, and finalized by Marcus Clark before delivery. If you require that your materials not be processed through AI tools, notify Marcus Clark in writing before the engagement begins and an alternative workflow will be agreed upon.
How is my project information stored and who can access it?
Project information is stored in WPForms Pro, a private Google Sheets tracking spreadsheet, Gmail, and Google Drive. All of these are accessible only to Marcus Clark. No subcontractors or third parties have access to client materials. Payment information is handled by Stripe and governed by their privacy policy. You may request deletion of your project information after an engagement is complete by emailing marcus@evolutionofwellness.com.
What is included in a revision and what is not?
Every service includes one round of revisions at no additional cost. Revisions address gaps between the deliverable and the original agreed brief. A free redo applies if the delivered work did not meet the original brief. Requests that go beyond the original scope, such as new topics, new ingredients, or new evaluation questions, are treated as a new engagement and quoted separately.
Is a deposit required?
For all services except Health Program Evaluation, full payment is required before work begins. Health Program Evaluation requires a 50 percent deposit before work begins, with the remaining balance due upon delivery of the final report.
Is rush delivery available?
Rush delivery is available for Health and Wellness Writing, Health Content Review, Supplement Research Briefs, and Written Movement and Wellness Assessments, subject to current capacity. It is not available for Health Program Evaluation due to the time required for thorough analysis. Rush delivery is billed at 1.5 to 2 times the standard rate and confirmed during the scoping exchange before payment is requested.
Product recommendations and affiliates
Are you paid to recommend products?
Some links on the What I Use page and in blog posts are affiliate links. A small commission may be earned if you purchase through them at no extra cost to you. Affiliate relationships are always disclosed. They do not influence which products are recommended — only products Marcus personally uses are listed.
How do affiliate relationships interact with your professional services?
Marcus does not accept content review or research brief work from brands whose products he actively promotes as an affiliate, unless the relationship is disclosed in writing before work begins and the client consents. If you are unsure whether a conflict exists, ask before submitting a service inquiry.
How do I know a product recommendation is genuine?
Every product on the What I Use page is something Marcus has personally purchased and used. Incoming affiliate partnerships are evaluated against personal use first. Products that Marcus would not use himself are not listed regardless of commission rate. The page notes when a partnership is active and when products are still under evaluation.
