How this works

Every service here happens over email. No calls to schedule, no meetings to coordinate. You submit an intake form, Marcus reviews it within two business days, and you receive polished expert-level written work by the agreed date. All on your schedule, not a shared calendar.

No call needed just to scope a project. Inquire anytime, day or night, and get a real response within two business days.

Most health content has a credibility problem. Most health programs do not know if they are working.

The health and wellness industry produces enormous volumes of content, products, and programs. Very little of it is grounded in peer-reviewed evidence. Very little of it is written or evaluated by someone with actual clinical or public health training. The result is brands making claims that do not hold up, programs spending money without knowing if they are producing results, and individuals getting generic advice that does not account for their actual situation. These services exist to close that gap.

Working with a credentialed health content writer, rather than a generalist or an AI tool, means the person producing or reviewing your content holds a graduate-level public health credential and has clinical experience to draw from. That distinction matters more now than it ever has. See published work on the blog.

Why Work with Marcus

Why hire a credentialed health content writer instead of an agency or in-house team?

In-house costs more than the salary

The fully loaded cost of an in-house health writer or program evaluator is $70,000 to $108,000 per year. That cost is fixed whether you have active projects or not. Marcus charges for the work you need when you need it. No overhead, no downtime, no long-term payroll commitment.

Agencies bill senior and deliver junior

Most health content agencies assign your work to generalist writers and bill at senior rates. The credentialed reviewer glances at the piece after the fact. With Marcus, the person who holds the credential is the person who produced the work. No handoffs. No rotating writer pool.

AI cannot provide what Google actually requires

Google’s EEAT guidelines require a real credentialed human whose name is attached to the content. AI-generated health content is increasingly penalized in search rankings. Marcus provides the verifiable credential that makes health content rank and the clinical background that makes it accurate from the start.

Process

The full process, step by step

1

Fill out the intake form

Submit the form for the service you need. All inquiries are handled through the forms on this page, there is no phone number or direct contact option for new inquiries. This keeps communication organized and ensures Marcus has everything he needs to respond thoughtfully.

2

Scope and payment confirmed

Marcus reviews every inquiry personally and responds within two business days to confirm scope, timeline, and whether the project is a good fit. A Stripe invoice is sent to your email after scope is confirmed. Work begins as soon as payment is received.

3

Work delivered on time

All deliverables are sent as PDF or editable documents within the agreed timeline. Every service includes the delivery timeframe upfront so you know exactly what to expect before you commit. Writing projects include one round of revisions.

4

Quality follow-up

Marcus follows up 30 days after delivery to ask whether the work met your needs. Clients who provide a written testimonial after the 30-day follow-up receive a 10 percent discount on their next project.

Five Services

Health and Wellness Writing

Research-backed health content from someone with graduate-level public health training and clinical experience.

From $750  ·  One round of revisions included  ·  Timeline confirmed before work begins

Why this matters

Google now penalizes health content that cannot demonstrate the author’s real-world experience and expertise under its EEAT guidelines. Supplement brands have faced FTC enforcement actions and retail delisting over inaccurate health claims on their own websites and marketing materials. Working with a credentialed health content writer is no longer a nice-to-have. It is a competitive and regulatory necessity.

Who this serves

Supplement and nutraceutical brands needing blog content, product education pages, and email newsletters grounded in real research. Telehealth platforms publishing condition-specific content requiring clinical accuracy. Corporate wellness platforms producing educational content for members on nutrition, movement, stress, and chronic disease prevention.

Digital health apps needing onboarding content and educational modules explaining the science behind their product. Health insurance companies publishing member education content on preventive care. Independent gyms, fitness studios, and personal training businesses wanting credentialed content to differentiate their marketing. Health-focused publications assigning pieces to credentialed contributors.

What you get and when

Articles, blog posts, white papers, patient education guides, product education pages, and email newsletters written from a clinical and public health foundation. Every piece is grounded in peer-reviewed research, written in plain language, and produced by a credentialed author whose name and background can be attached to the byline. One round of revisions included at no additional cost.

Standard delivery: Up to 1,500 words within five business days. 1,500 to 3,000 words within seven business days. White papers and research reports within fourteen business days. Rush delivery within 48 hours available at an additional charge.

Every piece is built to do one thing beyond filling a content calendar: build trust between you and the people you are trying to reach.

What makes this different

As a public health writer with clinical training, Marcus can evaluate study design, identify overstated findings, and write about chronic disease, exercise science, nutrition, and supplementation from direct professional experience in physical therapy and personal training. His Lean Six Sigma certification adds a process improvement lens that is particularly useful for healthcare organizations and corporate wellness clients who need content grounded in operational as well as clinical thinking. Organizations working with Marcus do not need a separate medical review step. The clinical judgment is built into the writing from the start.

Pricing

  • Up to 1,500 words$750
  • 1,500 to 3,000 words$1,200
  • White papers and long-form research reports$2,500 to $5,000

Health Content Review

A credentialed accuracy review of health content before you publish, for brands that cannot afford to get it wrong.

From $300  ·  Delivered as signed PDF  ·  Up to 5 business days

Why this matters

The FTC has increased enforcement of health claims in marketing and advertising. Retailers have removed products from sale over label and marketing claim inaccuracies. A single inaccurate health claim on a product page or in a marketing email can result in regulatory action, loss of retail placement, or brand damage that takes years to repair. A one-time review before publication is a fraction of the cost of what happens when something inaccurate goes live.

Who this serves

Supplement brands writing product copy that makes health claims. Marketing agencies producing health content for clients who need expert review before publishing. Wellness startups building their first content library who want foundational content verified.

Personal trainers, nutritionists, and fitness coaches who write their own content and want a graduate-level public health review before publishing. Health tech companies publishing educational content about their devices or platforms. Corporate HR departments reviewing wellness program materials before distribution.

What you get and when

A written assessment delivered as a structured PDF covering five dimensions: accuracy of health claims against peer-reviewed evidence; quality and credibility of sources cited; regulatory considerations for health claims under FTC and FDA guidelines; readability and accessibility for the intended audience; and missing context or nuance that could mislead readers. Every flag includes a specific recommendation. The review is signed Marcus Clark MPH so you have a credentialed assessment on record.

Standard delivery: Up to 2,000 words within three business days. 2,000 to 5,000 words within five business days. Rush delivery within 48 hours available.

The value here is real and downstream: an unsupported health claim does not just expose you to regulatory risk. It can damage the trust your patients, customers, or readers have placed in you.

What makes this different

This is not proofreading or copyediting. It is a clinical and public health assessment of whether your content is accurate, defensible, and appropriately nuanced. A supplement brand can show their legal team, retail partners, or review board that their content was evaluated by a credentialed public health professional before publication. That distinction matters in an environment where health claims are increasingly scrutinized.

Supplement and Ingredient Research Brief

A structured evidence analysis of what the science actually supports, before you build a product or campaign around it.

From $500  ·  3 to 5 page PDF with full citations  ·  Up to 7 business days

Why this matters

The supplement industry is built largely on ingredients with weak, misrepresented, or manufactured evidence. Brands that build products and marketing campaigns around poorly evidenced ingredients face regulatory exposure, consumer backlash, and the cost of reformulation. Investors who do not verify the evidence base before committing capital to a supplement brand have lost money when the science failed to hold up. Knowing what the research actually supports before you commit is significantly cheaper than finding out after.

Who this serves

Supplement companies evaluating a new ingredient before formulation. Sports nutrition brands assessing whether a trending ingredient supports the claims they want to make. Investors doing due diligence on supplement brands before committing capital. Marketing teams briefing copywriters on what claims are defensible. Health journalists needing a structured research summary before writing. Legal teams assessing health claim defensibility after regulatory inquiry.

What you get and when

A three to five page research brief delivered as a PDF. The brief covers what the ingredient is and how it works mechanistically. It then addresses what the current peer-reviewed research shows, including the strength and consistency of the evidence, and what dosing the research supports. Additionally, it identifies which populations benefit most and under what conditions, what the research does not support, and any safety, quality, or regulatory considerations. Written in plain language with full citations from peer-reviewed sources.

Standard delivery: Single ingredient brief within five business days. Comparison and category briefs within seven business days.

This brief is built so you can speak to your customers with confidence, backed by what the evidence actually supports, not just what sounds good on a label.

What makes this different

This is not a Wikipedia summary. It is a structured evidence analysis by someone who holds a Master of Public Health degree and can evaluate study design, assess evidence quality, and distinguish between findings that hold up and marketing language built on weak or cherry-picked research.

Pricing

  • Single ingredient basic review$500
  • Comparison of two to three related compounds$800
  • Comprehensive category brief$1,200

Health Program Evaluation

A formal evaluation of whether your health or wellness program is actually working, and what to do if it is not.

From $1,200  ·  50% deposit to begin  ·  Full report with executive summary

Why this matters

The average corporate wellness program spends $700 per employee per year. Studies consistently show that most of that spending produces little measurable improvement in employee health outcomes. Most health and wellness programs operate on assumption rather than evidence. A formal evaluation gives decision-makers the information they need to invest in what works and stop investing in what does not.

Who this serves

Gyms and fitness studios assessing whether their programming produces measurable results for members. Corporate wellness programs that need to demonstrate ROI to leadership or a board. Community health organizations and nonprofits receiving grant funding who must demonstrate impact to funders.

Small healthcare practices running patient education or chronic disease management programs. Physical therapy and rehabilitation centers running group wellness programs. Schools and universities running student wellness initiatives. Worksite wellness vendors needing independent evaluation data to support their sales process. Healthcare organizations and hospital systems running process improvement initiatives that include a wellness or prevention component.

What you get and when

A formal program evaluation using the CDC Framework for Program Evaluation as the methodological foundation. The evaluation covers program design and alignment with stated goals; gaps between intended and actual outcomes; analysis of available program data; stakeholder perspectives where relevant; and specific actionable recommendations for program improvement organized by priority. Delivered as a written report with an executive summary, findings section, and prioritized recommendations.

For healthcare organizations, hospitals, corporate wellness programs, and process-improvement clients, the evaluation report includes a conditional Waste and Efficiency Analysis section identifying operational inefficiencies using the Lean Six Sigma DOWNTIME framework. This section is included where applicable and noted in the scope confirmation.

The entire point of the CDC framework this evaluation follows is asking whether the people your program is designed to serve are actually better off, not just whether the program ran as planned.

This evaluation is built entirely from the materials and answers you provide in writing: program data, documentation, and a structured written questionnaire. It does not include live stakeholder interviews or calls.

What makes this different

Marcus holds a Master of Public Health degree and a Lean Six Sigma certification, with specific training in evaluation methodology, process improvement, research design, and data interpretation. Lean Six Sigma is one of the most widely used frameworks for identifying inefficiency and driving measurable improvement in healthcare and organizational settings, making it a direct complement to public health evaluation methodology. He also brings direct clinical and operational experience in health and wellness settings.

Pricing

  • Basic evaluation, single program with existing data$1,200
  • Comprehensive evaluation with stakeholder input and full report$2,500
  • Evaluation with primary data collection$4,000
  • Multi-site or complex programsContact for quote

Written Movement and Wellness Assessment

Practical movement guidance from someone with physical therapy and personal training experience, for generally healthy people who want a knowledgeable second opinion.

$350 flat  ·  Delivered in 1 to 2 business days  ·  One follow-up included

Why this matters

Most people who want to move better, feel less stiff, or build a simple exercise routine do not need a clinical evaluation. They need someone who understands how the body works to look at what they are doing and give them honest practical feedback. These are straightforward questions that deserve a thoughtful answer from someone who knows what they are talking about.

Who this serves

Generally healthy adults who want practical movement guidance but do not know where to start. People who have a rough routine already and want a second opinion on whether it makes sense for their goals. Anyone who has found workout advice online and wants to know if it actually fits their situation. Adults returning to movement after a period of inactivity who want a sensible starting point.

This service is not appropriate for people with active injuries, diagnosed musculoskeletal conditions, or significant pain during movement. If that describes you, please work with a licensed physical therapist or your healthcare provider first.

What you get and when

A written response delivered within one to two business days addressing your specific questions and situation. Practical movement and exercise suggestions matched to your goals and current activity level. Stretching or mobility guidance where relevant with the reasoning behind each suggestion. Simple habit-based recommendations for building consistency without overhauling your life. One follow-up round of clarifying questions included after delivery at no additional cost.

If this assessment is being commissioned by a coach or trainer on behalf of someone else, please note that in your inquiry. The guidance will be written specifically for whoever will act on it.

This assessment is based on what you share in your intake form. It is not a live or video-observed movement screening. If you have an injury or a diagnosed condition, this service is not the right fit and you will be referred to a licensed provider instead.

What makes this different

Marcus holds a Master of Public Health degree and has a background in physical therapy and personal training. He is not going to give you a generic twelve-week program or recycle advice you could find on any fitness blog. Think of it as asking a knowledgeable friend who happens to have those credentials and that background.

Common Questions

Frequently asked questions

How does payment work?

After Marcus reviews your intake form and confirms scope and timeline, a Stripe invoice is sent to your email. For writing, content review, research briefs, and movement assessments, payment in full is required before work begins. For program evaluations, a 50 percent deposit is required upfront with the balance due on delivery. Work begins as soon as payment is received.

How quickly will I hear back after submitting a form?

Within two business days. Marcus reviews every inquiry personally. If the project is a good fit, you will receive a response confirming scope, timeline, and rate. If it is not a good fit, you will receive an honest note explaining why and a referral where possible.

What does one round of revisions include?

One round of revisions means you can request changes after receiving the deliverable and Marcus will implement them at no additional cost. Revisions address gaps between the deliverable and the original agreed brief. They do not include changes to scope, direction, or topic that were not part of the original agreement. If the scope changes substantially after work has begun, a revised quote will be provided and agreed upon in writing before additional work is started.

Is rush delivery always available?

Rush delivery is available for writing, content review, research briefs, and movement assessments subject to current capacity. It is not available for program evaluations due to the time required for thorough analysis. Rush availability is confirmed during the scoping exchange before payment is requested. Rush projects are priced at a premium communicated and agreed upon before payment is made.

Can I see examples of your work before committing?

Yes. Illustrative samples for all five services are available at evolutionofwellness.com/services/samples. These are fictional client examples created to show format, depth, and approach. Real client work is available on request under NDA.

Do you sign NDAs?

Yes. If your project requires a non-disclosure agreement, mention it when submitting your intake form and a standard NDA can be executed before work begins. Clients should assume by default that project details are treated as confidential regardless of whether a formal NDA is in place.

Do you work with individuals or only organizations?

Both. The Written Movement and Wellness Assessment is specifically designed for individuals. Health and wellness writing, content review, and research briefs serve both individuals and organizations. Program evaluation is primarily for organizations, though independent practitioners running structured programs are also eligible.

Are there conflicts of interest with your affiliate partnerships?

Marcus does not accept content review or research brief work from brands whose products he actively promotes as an affiliate unless the relationship is disclosed in writing before work begins and the client consents. Current affiliate partnerships are listed at evolutionofwellness.com/what-i-use. If you are unsure whether a conflict exists, ask before submitting an inquiry.

What if I am not satisfied with the deliverable?

Every service includes one round of revisions at no additional cost. If the deliverable does not meet the brief as originally agreed, Marcus will revise it. If after revision you remain unsatisfied, reach out directly and it will be addressed on a case by case basis.

Can I request ongoing work or a retainer?

Yes, for writing and content review. Retainer arrangements for clients with regular content needs are available at a negotiated rate. Mention your anticipated volume in the intake form and Marcus will include retainer options in the scoping response. Research briefs, program evaluations, and movement assessments are project-based only.
